Privacy Policy - AI Performance Lab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-27

This Privacy Policy explains what information AI Performance Lab ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit aiperformancelab.ai, sign up for our newsletter, fill out the contact form, or otherwise interact with us ("the Site"). It also explains how we use that information and the third parties we rely on to operate the Site.

Plain-English version: we collect the bare minimum to reply to your inquiry and send you the newsletter you signed up for. We don't sell your data. The Site is a marketing site for our programs, our book, and Dr. Michael Housman's writing.

1. Who we are

AI Performance Lab is operated by AI-ccelerator, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in the United States. The principals are Dr. Michael Housman and Alan VanToai. You can reach us at hello@aiperformancelab.ai.

2. What we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us through forms. When you submit the contact form on contact.html, we collect your name, company, email address, role (optional), interest area (optional), leadership team size (optional), and the message you write. When you subscribe to the newsletter on any blog page, we collect only your email address (plus the page title you subscribed from, as a tag).
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server log data, IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the time of your request, for security and operational purposes. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, referrers, country, device type, and browser). Vercel Web Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not store or share IP addresses, does not track visitors across sites, and uses a daily-rotating hash to deduplicate visitors without identifying them. We do not use any other analytics, advertising, or profiling tools on the Site.
  • Information from third-party services we embed. When you visit contact.html, an embedded Google Calendar appointment widget loads from Google. Google may collect data about your visit independently of us, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Google Fonts (used for typography on every page) may also log your IP address and user agent as part of serving the font files.

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to inquiries you send through the contact form.
  • To send you the newsletter you subscribed to.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

4. Service providers we share with

We rely on a small number of vendors to run the Site. Each of these is bound by their own privacy terms:

  • Vercel: hosts the Site and the serverless functions that handle form submissions, and provides cookieless Web Analytics (page views, referrers, country, device type) so we can see aggregate traffic patterns. Vercel processes standard server log data on our behalf. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Autosend: our email service provider. Newsletter subscribers and contact-form submissions are stored in our Autosend account so we can send the newsletter and reply to inquiries. Autosend also delivers the notification email we receive when you submit the contact form. Autosend Privacy Policy
  • Google: Google Fonts serves our typography. Google Calendar provides the booking widget embedded on the contact page. Google may receive your IP address and user agent when these load. Google Privacy Policy

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set any first-party cookies for analytics, advertising, or profiling. Vercel Web Analytics, described above, is cookieless by design. Browser features (such as local storage) are not used by our code. Third-party services we embed (Google Calendar, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies as part of their normal operation. If you'd like to block these, browser-level cookie controls or tracker-blocking extensions are effective.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep contact-form submissions and newsletter records for as long as you remain a subscriber or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a rolling window controlled by our hosting provider (typically 30 days). When you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we suppress further sends; tell us at hello@aiperformancelab.ai if you'd also like the record deleted.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, or to object to it. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@aiperformancelab.ai and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Newsletter unsubscribe links are included in every email we send.

8. International visitors

The Site is operated from the United States, and the third parties we use (Vercel, Autosend, Google) may process data in the United States and other countries. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., be aware that information you submit may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S.

9. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use standard precautions to protect information you submit, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls on the systems where data is stored. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you not to send sensitive personal information through the contact form.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves or as legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the newsletter or a prominent notice on the Site.
